Welcome Back, Old Friend
Here are a couple of views of the Welcome Back, Old Friend Aran by Kathy Zimmerman, featured in the Fall 2000 issue of Interweave Knits Magazine - which, IMHO, is one of the best issues of a knitting magazine, ever. I knit this with Cleckheaton's Wooly Silk DK weight, and it is very soft and warm to wear. I deviated some from the pattern as written - after finishing the first chart, I absentmindedly knit the set-up rows again. By the time I realized what I'd done, I also realized that I liked the way it looked. I'm told that mistake repeated is a design element...
